Front Line Manager (Night Shifts)

(5pm-5am / 9pm-9am – 3on 3off (non rotating))

Pontypool, South Wales

Salary: £30,000pa – £37,000pa + benefits

My client is an extremely well established ambient food manufacturer based in the South East area of Wales. With a long standing reputation of supplying some of the highest standard products into retailers (M&S… …) they are recruiting now for a Front Line Shift Manager / Production Shift Manager to fully manage develop and control all aspects of the production unit.

You will be fully responsible for Quality, Process Adherence, Technical, HR, HSE, COSHH, KPI’s (efficiency, plan attainment, complaints, returns, waste, staff utilisation, downtime, cost savings, product run times… …) Engineering, Data Capture, Shift Reporting, Staff Training & Development, People Utilisation, Material Utilisation and so on…

As a Production Manager I am specifically looking for an individual that really takes pride in not just their experience and knowledge, but someone who knows how to apply their experience to manage a team that is both respected and admired by the management team and customers. As the “Go To” person in production your team will respect you through your achievements and ability to ‘steer the shift’ in a manner that maximises area performance, product quality and people engagement. Getting an engaged shift is key to your success.

In running your area there will of course be daily issues for you to manage – The key to succeeding in your application is to be able to demonstrate and explain to my client, (and me of course), how you make improvements and gains that are sustainable.

  • Explain to me more than ‘I have Lean Manufacturing Experience…..
  • Tell me why you applied what parts of LM, why those were chosen, and what effects they had on the business.
  • Inform me of ‘What The Initial Problem Was’, ‘What Was Your Activity’, and ‘How Long Did It Take To Get That Result?’
  • Did you raise the initial alarm for the issues, did you get asked to investigate and report back?

I am specifically interested in How You Do What You Do – To Get The Results That You Get!

  • If you are just shy of this level now, and believe that you can ‘Step Up’ to this level and have an impressive and detailed CV make an application
  • If you are working at this level and are looking for a ‘better opportunity’ then make an application
  • If you are looking for a job, being available immediately, take the time to review your application and make an impressive application now.

THIS ROLE SPECIFICALLY REQUIRES AN EXPERIENCED CANDIDATE BASED ON THE HIGH LEVEL OF AUTONOMY AND SCOPE OF THE ROLE – THEREFORE YOU MUST HAVE THE RELEVANT BACKGROUND TO SECURE AN INTERVIEW?

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEFORE WORKED IN OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT FOR A FOOD COMPANY – DO NOT APPLY.

My Job Help Ltd is a recruitment business.
